About

Gerard is Lawlux's Chief Strategy Officer, and the firm's voice for the client.

His career has been spent in customer experience and human-centred design. He is Head of Digital Consulting for APAC at HCLTech, was National Executive General Manager at Symplicit, and was a Management Consultant at EY, helping some of Australia's largest organisations understand their customers and design experiences around them.

At Symplicit he led human-centred design for some of Australia's most recognised names, including Virgin Australia, NAB, MECCA, CommBank, Sydney Metro and RMIT, putting the customer at the centre of every decision. He brings that same obsession to Lawlux: Using design thinking and technology to find the pain points in legal and design them out.

He holds an MBA from UNSW.

  • MECCA – customer research, journey maps and personas to reshape the in-store and online beauty experience.
  • CommBank – redesigned the finance broker portal, lifting monthly active users 50% and cutting around $1.5 million a year in call centre costs.
  • Sydney Metro – customer-centred station design for the Western Sydney Airport line.
  • RMIT Online – journey maps and service blueprints for the enterprise education offering.
